User testimonials are boring to watch…so we created a user experiment to prove the effectiveness of Listerine Ready Tabs. Introducing: The Bold Box. We bought 15 dollars worth of hot dogs from a street cart and shot a spec video. The internal production team at J. Walter Thompson and I decided to put together a video to show how fun and effective the Listerine Ready Tabs were. I shot, edited, and directed the video, and resultantly, Listerine felt so strongly towards it that they wanted to create a 15-second spot mirroring the one we presented. J. Walter Thompson put me in charge of co-directing and editing this advertisement for Listerine.
